Education & Impact
Overview
We build AI-enabled assessments and upskilling tools focused on Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), transfer-credit workflows, and workforce diagnostic assessments. Our assessments help workers upskill, mid-career shifters to find new paths and adult learners to secure credit for their previous work, military and educational experiences. Our infrastructure helps educational and employer partners identify skill gaps, accelerate CPL decisions, and translate workplace learning into validated credentials.

Key applications:
Johari: Skills assessments, Career Recommender Tool, ArchieCPL:
For outplacement organizations, labor action centers, mid-career shifters - identify skills, gaps in skills for career mapping, develop training and upskilling plans, apply for higher ed prior learning credit
For companies: use Johari for succession planning, promotion and team development plans; identify skill of workers versus skills required for roles in company, make data informed workforce development planning
What we do (operationally)
- We deliver science-informed assessments and an automated CPL workflow called ArchieCPL that streamlines CPL evaluation and the processing of credit applications. ArchieCPL reduces the manual time required to assess prior learning and produces standardized assessment outputs for academic or training credit decisions.
- We run skills diagnostics for employers and training partners to map current workforce competency against role standards, then translate diagnostic results into recommended upskilling pathways.
- We partner with post-secondary and industry programs to integrate CPL decision outputs into transcript/credit systems and to document learner outcomes for employers and funders.
Research, studies, and impact activity
- We develop and publish studies and assessment reports that measure workforce competency and CPL outcomes. For example, we ran a skills assessment for NGen’s Future Ready program and published results in 2024 examining manufacturing workforce competency relative to international standards.
- We produce operational research that supports program design—for example, diagnostic studies that identify priority skill gaps and the training interventions most likely to produce creditable learning.
- Where clients permit, we aggregate anonymized outcomes to produce impact summaries that show changes in competency distribution and the number of credits or micro-credentials validated through our processes.
How we measure impact
When we report program outcomes, we typically collect and present operational metrics provided by the partner engagement, such as:
- Number of learners assessed
- Number of CPL/transfer-credit applications processed through ArchieCPL
- Number and type of credits awarded (e.g., course equivalencies, micro-credentials)
- Changes in competency levels pre/post upskilling (assessment score deltas)
- Employer-reported outcomes where available (e.g., time-to-fill roles, retention changes)
Specific numeric results, aggregated impact reports, and client-level outcome tables are supplied per engagement or published as standalone reports when the client has agreed to publication.
Partnerships and typical engagement flow
We work with industry programs, post-secondary partners, and workforce intermediaries. Our homepage highlights partner logos and references programs we’ve supported.
A typical engagement flow looks like:
- Discovery: define competencies, CPL policy constraints, and success metrics with the partner.
- Assessment configuration: map role or course competency frameworks into our diagnostic instruments and configure ArchieCPL rules for credit mapping.
- Deployment: learners or workers take assessments; assessors use ArchieCPL to review and record decisions.
- Reporting & transfer: validated credits are exported into partner systems and impact reports are delivered to the sponsor.
Client-facing materials and access
- We provide demo access and stakeholder briefings to show how ArchieCPL works end-to-end.
- For funded projects or public studies, we may publish a summary report or press release.
- Full technical reports and data tables are shared under the terms agreed with the commissioning partner.
What we can share publicly vs. on request
Public
- Product overviews
- Press releases
- Executive summaries of impact studies
- Partner lists (when partners consent to logo use)
Private / on request
- Full technical reports
- Raw anonymized datasets
- Client-level outcome tables
- Internal evaluation frameworks
These are typically provided under data-sharing and nondisclosure agreements, or with client permission.
How to request research outputs or a partnership
If you want a copy of a published impact report, a case study, or a custom skills assessment, request a demo or send an inquiry via https://knowmeq.com. For scheduling a walkthrough, use the demo booking link on the homepage: https://calendly.com/matt-foran-knowmeq-sm.
Contact
We handle research and impact inquiries through our demo and contact flows on the website. See https://knowmeq.com for the primary contact and demo scheduling.
What we need to publish specific impact reports or case studies
If you want us to publish a specific impact report or case study on this page, provide:
- The final report PDF
- A short public-facing summary (150–300 words)
- Permission to list the client name and logo
Once we receive those items, we can add a full results table and an outcomes section specific to that study.
